Onboarding
How to Play
PuzzledPuzzles is built around nested puzzles — small pieces that each solve a slice of a bigger artwork. Here's how the loop works and the gestures you'll use on every solution.
The Core Idea
What are fragments & masters?
A fragment is a sub-puzzle — one slice of a famous artwork. You solve the fragment on its own board; once it's complete, you've earned one piece of the bigger picture.
The master is the complete artwork every fragment points at. As you finish each fragment, that slice of the master assembles itself on the master board.
The canonical example is the Nest — Mona Lisa challenge: six progressive tiers (24 → 48 → 100 → 196 → 288 → 384 pieces) where every fragment you finish unlocks the next, harder one.
The Master Completion Loop
- Pick a fragment. Choose the tier you've unlocked — start with the smallest piece count if you're new.
- Solve the pieces. Drag each piece toward its neighbors. Pieces snap together when their edges align.
- Progress saves automatically. Tile placement, timer, and score are stored after every piece move, so you can close the tab and pick up later.
- The next tier unlocks. Finishing one fragment unlocks the next, harder tier. Premium tiers (Mona Lisa tiers 5 and 6) require a one-off unlock purchase.
- All fragments complete → master assembles. When every fragment on a master is done, the full artwork reveals itself on the master board.
Mobile Gestures
-
Drag pieces
Tap and hold a single piece, then drag with one finger (or click-and-drag with the mouse). Pieces snap together automatically when their edges align close enough.
-
Pinch to zoom the board
Two-finger pinch anywhere on the board zooms in and out, scaling around the pinch mid-point. Useful for inspecting detail or panning across a large board.
-
Two-finger pan
While pinching you can also move the board around — drag two fingers in the same direction to shift the camera, then release to keep your view.
